BuildSim Projects

The BuildSim Project is the workspace for creating dynamic systems for simulation and control. As shown in the figure, there is a column of palette buttons along the left side of the window and a work area for placing and connecting BuildBlocks. There are more than fifty basic types of BuildBlocks.

For example, pushing the palette icon with the "S" label in the Project Window (the top most palette icon in the column), the "Linear Dynamics" Block Palette will open. There are several "BuildBlocks" on this palette. To use them, just click and drag from the palette to the project window.

Connecting Blocks - Click on an output node of a block. You''ll know the output node has been selected because it will turn black in color and the while block will have a select rectangle around it. Now if you hold down the shift key you''ll see a ray-trace line from the output node to the cursor which has now become a cross-hair.

While holding the shift key down, drag the cursor to an input node. Click the input node once, then release the shift key.
